What We Fix

Wont Power On

Press the button and nothing happens. No lights, no fans, no beeps. Usually the power supply (PSU), but could be the motherboard or front panel switch. We diagnose, quote the repair before ordering parts, and apply the diagnostic fee toward the repair if you proceed.

Random Crashes & Blue Screens

Reboots out of nowhere, BSODs with cryptic error codes, freezes mid-task. Causes range from overheating (dust buildup, dying fans) to failing RAM, dying SSDs, bad drivers, or malware. Our diagnostic isolates the cause so you don’t pay to “throw parts at it.”

Hard Drive & SSD Failures

Clicking sounds. Boots to recovery mode. Files mysteriously corrupted. We replace the drive and migrate your data — often you wont lose anything. If the drive is too far gone, we partner with Gillware for clean-room data recovery on truly failed drives.

Slow Performance

Boots take 5 minutes. Apps lag. Web pages load like its 1998. Often this is just an overdue SSD upgrade or a dirty Windows install — for $100–200 we can make a 5-year-old computer feel new. We diagnose first so you know whats actually slowing it down.

Hardware Upgrades

RAM, SSD, graphics card, power supply, cooling. We tell you whats actually worth upgrading on your specific machine and what isnt. Sometimes the answer is “your current PC will still go another three years with this $80 SSD.” Sometimes it’s “honestly, save the money toward a new one.” Either way, you get a straight answer.

Internal Cleaning

Dust kills computers. Fans clogged with pet hair, dust caked on heatsinks, thermal paste dried out. We do a full disassembly, ultrasonic clean of components where appropriate, fresh thermal paste, and reassemble. Your PC runs cooler and quieter — often the “slow” complaint disappears entirely.

Brands & Configurations We Service

Dell, HP, Lenovo, ASUS, Acer, MSI, custom-built rigs (including ones we didnt build), prebuilt gaming systems, business workstations, all-in-ones, mini-PCs. Whatever the form factor, if it has a power button we can probably fix it.

Software Side

Operating system reinstalls (clean Windows install, drivers, your apps reconfigured), virus and malware removal, software conflicts, system migrations from old computer to new one (we move your files, programs, and settings so you don’t lose anything), email setup, printer configuration. The full software stack, not just hardware.

Common Questions

How much does PC repair cost?

Most repairs land in the $60–$120 range when no parts replacement is needed (cleaning, software fixes, tune-ups, OS reinstalls). Repairs requiring parts (drives, power supplies, motherboards) cost more depending on the part. If a job is going to exceed the original quote, we call you first — you never get a surprise bill. Diagnostic fee applies toward the repair if you proceed.

Should I repair my old desktop or buy a new one?

Were happy to give you a straight answer. Sometimes a $100 SSD upgrade is the right move; sometimes the math says replace. Bring it in or call us with the model and what its doing — well tell you honestly which way to go.

Do you build custom PCs too?

Yes — see our custom built computers page. Gaming rigs, workstations, family computers, business desktops.

Can you fix my PC if I’m in Sauk Centre, Osakis, or Glenwood?

Yes. Customers from across central Minnesota bring desktops to us — Sauk Centre, Glenwood, Osakis, Long Prairie, Brandon, Parkers Prairie. We are about 25 minutes from most of those towns. For network/server work we also do on-site visits to home and small business locations.
